What to do for New Year’s Eve in Costa Mesa

Cheers everyone! The time has come again where we say goodbye to one year and bring on the next. As always, it is essential to end the year on a hot note. Now, we are sure that many of you will want to stay home with loved ones and watch the ball drop at midnight. However, there are so many fun-filled New Year’s Eve events going on in Costa Mesa on December 31st. For those of you looking for a night out on the town on New Year’s Eve but not sure where to do so, then do not fret. Here is a list of some of the hottest spots to bring in the New Year in Costa Mesa.

Winter Fest OC

Known as Southern California’s largest winter tradition, Winter Fest OC has finally returned! What is so special about Winter Fest OC is that it is a two and a half week-long fair. That means that those of you who choose to stay in on New Year’s Eve can still enjoy the festivities it has to offer both before and after we bring in 2018. Located on 88 Fair Drive, this giant winter wonderland has more than 30 activities, including a new attraction called Alpine Village.

Ticket prices start at $5 and go up to $159 depending on what you want to do. For instance, you can enjoy ice tubing down Snowflake Summit, as well as a nightly tree lighting ceremony with a parade. Winter Fest OC is perfect for date night and is incredibly family-friendly. There is the Little Elve’s play area, pictures with Santa, and ice skating under the stars. You can even rent out a private, VIP ice rink-side cabana starting at $69.

In regards to New Year’s Eve, there will be a magical firework show as well as a 3,000 balloon drop at midnight. Although the Winter Fest OC Fair has already begun, all of you Baker Block residents have plenty of time to attend. Winter Fest OC will be wrapping up on January 7th, 2018. So, no matter what you choose to do for New Year’s Eve, you will be able to enjoy all that Winter Fest OC has to offer both this year and next.

TIME Nightclub

If you are looking to party hard, then TIME Nightclub is the New Year’s Eve spot for you. Including extravagant lighting displays and music, the energy here will be epic. There will be multiple DJ’s spinning all sorts of tracks. From hip-hop to soul music, this Costa Mesa hotspot will keep you dancing all night long. This ultimate nightclub is located at 1875 Newport Boulevard. The night begins at 9 PM and continues on until 2 PM. The New Year will be brought in by an exclusive DJ who will keep you going all night long. Depending on how much you want to spend, a ticket at TIME goes for $54 to $20,000. Do know that this is a 21+ event. So, those of you with kids should definitely call in your babysitter. You are going to be gone for quite some time.

The CAMP’s New Year’s Eve Gala

When in doubt The CAMP will always have something going on during major annual events. That includes New Year’s Eve, where they will be holding their annual Gala celebration. The tickets for this event range from $75 to $150. Each ticket includes one entry, Sips + Bites, and a champagne toast at Midnight. This New Year’s extravaganza begins at 9 PM and goes into the New Year until 2 AM, so you definitely will be in for an eventful night. The CAMP’s New Year’s Eve Gala is a black tie event, so be sure to pick out your best suit or cocktail dress.
