The Perfect View: Where to find the best rooftop bars in Orange County

Hey, there Baker Block neighbors! Hope your new year is going well. As it continues to get colder we will need to find other ways to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. One of the best ways to do just that is to visit any number of the fantastic rooftop bars in the area.

Mesa

Starting with Mesa just around the corner. While this bar may not be on a rooftop their roof does retract providing you with this open-air experience like no other. Beautifully lit, the main center bar encompasses a beautiful tree that sits right under the open roof, giving you a unique indoor/outdoor feel. If the ambiance wasn’t gorgeous enough, the presentation of every drink and meal is outstanding. Their boutique wine menu features all the essentials from around the world including wines from Italy, France, South Africa, and more.   

Rooftop Bars in Laguna Beach

If you did not have a reason to visit Laguna Beach, you do now. 

The Rooftop Lounge

First up on our list is The Rooftop Lounge at 1289 S. Coast Hwy. Located on top of Laguna Beach’s La Casa Del Camino hotel, this rooftop bar sits right next to the ocean giving you an excellent view of a sunset. Along with their incredible view, they are known for their spectacular happy hour deals. They also offer some fun drinks. Take for instance their Irish-themed cocktails like the Skinny Leprechaun or the Nutty Irishman. As far as their menu goes, they have a great Hawaiian Ahi Poke and Coconut Shrimp dish.

Skyloft

Then there is Skyloft at 422 South Coast Highway which offers you a great 180-degree view of the surrounding area. One side is of the ocean and the other is of the hills that sit over Laguna Beach. One great thing about Skyloft is you do not have to worry about finding a spot. There are tons of places to sit. When it comes to their drinks, they serve a great Old Fashioned. Our favorite cocktail would have to be the Mint Chocolate Cookie Martini. No matter what drink you get, be sure to pair it with either the calamari or the chicken wings.
