How to Celebrate Mother’s Day in Costa Mesa
May 11th, 2018
Calling all Baker Block families! Mother’s Day is upon us and we all must get ready to celebrate. From brunches to beach days, Orange County is here to appreciate your mom all week long.
Mother’s Day Brunches
First up is brunch. It may come as no surprise that there are multiple brunches to choose from. First up is the Mother’s Day brunch at Fashion Island Hotel. In Newport Beach, on the 13th from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, appreciate all your mom has done for you in the ballroom area. Very kid friendly, treat mom to a bubbly brunch filled with live music and bouquet-making. The brunch includes tons of seafood as well. There will even be a bloody mary bar and bottomless mimosas! Tickets for the event are $80 for adults, $20 for children 5-12, and free for kids 4 and under.
Next up is tea and brunch at Morning Lavender. Now we have already done a blog post on Morning Lavender once before. However, we could not go without suggesting this as a perfect Mother’s Day celebration spot. From delicious brunch with tea to boutique shopping, any mom will surely love brunch at Morning Lavender with the family on this very special day. Overall, you can never go wrong with an afternoon brunch on Mother’s Day. So whip out your Spring ensembles and get ready to dine with mom.
Mother’s Day for Two
For all the single mothers and their daughters out there, head on over to Salty Blonde Cut Co. On Wednesday, May 9th, from 4 PM to 6 PM, enjoy an affordable mommy and me salon night out. Together you can learn easy ways to braid hair and create fun ponytails. There will be multiple stations to get glammed up too. There is even a photo wall with props to remember the day forever. Also, do not worry, they will be serving up the best snacks at their treat bar. Best of all, this event is only $5 to $12!
A Day at the Beach
Looking to be more frugal and take advantage of all the beaches near Baker Block? Great idea! In fact, we have a whole blog post dedicated to all you can do at the surrounding beaches near your home. No matter which beach it is, grab a picnic basket, some sunscreen, and have yourself a mellow Mother’s Day.
Regardless of what you choose, all that matters is that you are together. So, start planning your Mother’s Day festivities now. Until then, keep on appreciating her and we hope she loves whatever fun plans you have in store this weekend. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
