Take a Trip to Long Beach: Retro Row on 4th Street

November 8th, 2018

Living at Baker Block in Costa Mesa means you are close to the best of the best in Orange County. And that includes Retro Row in Long Beach.

Long Beach Retro Row

About the Area

For those of you who do not already know, one of the coolest areas of Long Beach is called Retro Row. What is so wonderful about this area is what it is all about. It is about the community. It is a spot that brings businesses and visitors together to celebrate creativity and diversity.

Retro Row Dining

There are tons of bakeries, restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops along the way. Best of all, the area is super Instagram friendly no matter where you go. Take for instance Resturation. This chic little spot is a fantastic modern eatery serving New American cuisine with menus that change with the season. Then there is a fantastic food court and grocery store simply called 4th Street Market at 201 E 4th St.

One thing you can depend on while here is getting some epic burgers and fusion cuisine. For example, there are all natural burgers from Graze Craft Burgers, and some unique Vietnamese fusion comfort food at Red Envelope. Additionally, there is some delicious pizza cooking up over at Jinny’s Pizzeria as well as some hot wings at Wingman Kitchen. As far as desserts are concerned, get yourself some gourmet, handmade popsicles from Front Porch Pops or some craft-ice cream sandwiches from Chunk-n-chip. Do know that we only covered the surface of what is available to you. So, when you finally take your visit, it might take a while to choose what you want to eat with all that is available.

Shopping

For those with a passion for vintage fashion, Retro Row is the place for you. For instance, there is Casa de luxe, Meow, and Assistance League Thrift Shop. In addition to all that, all you Baker Block audiophiles must visit Fingerprints Music and Third Eye Records.

Well, there you have it. There is so much more to Long Beach then the ocean and beautiful sunsets. That especially goes for Retro Row with some of the best vintage shops and dining in the OC. Have fun!
