Tea Time at Morning Lavender: Orange County’s most unique tea shop

March 30th, 2018

One of the most beautiful things about Spring is having a perfectly warm and relaxing afternoon outside. Now, we highly advise you all to head to the community backyard or sky lounge for a calm Spring day. However, about 25 minutes away from Baker Block in Tustin California, is a delightful spot to bring in the Spring season. Located at 330 El Camino Real, Morning Lavender Cafe puts a unique spin on the shopping and tea drinking experience.

Before the Tea

In 2014, power couple Jason and Kim Le were running a very successful online boutique called Morning Lavender. After having much success with this business venture, they felt inclined to make something more out of the shop. So, they came up with a unique space. Titled Morning Lavender Cafe, Jason and Kim created a storefront. As they like to put it, it is “a space for you to shop, gather, taste, and be inspired.” Inviting, warm, and unique, Morning Lavender combines a retail boutique with a classic cafe.

The Shop

First up is the shopping experience. Having a brick-and-mortar space was definitely a goal for Jason and Kim. The style of their clothing is classic and feminine. From dresses, swimsuits, to accessories, there is so much to choose from. It should be noted that their price points are a bit high. Still, after you take a look at their Spring items, you will see how essential their dresses are to your Spring wardrobe.

The Cafe

So far, Morning Lavender seems like a spot for just the ladies. However, once you get a taste of the tea and cafe, all you Baker Block ladies with a husband, boyfriend, or family, will be coming back with your plus one. The teas are brewed perfectly with a range of flavors from $4 to $6. Also, their options are endless. First up are the classic teas such as Earl Grey or Jasmine. Then there is our favorite tea menu. The milk teas. Of all of them, we highly suggest getting their Lavender Milk Tea.

For those of you looking for something a bit more caffeinated, we suggest sipping on their Sea Salt Black Iced Coffee. While drinking your delightful tea or coffee, you have the option of getting it to go so you can shop around. Or, you can sit in the cafe and munch on finger sandwiches, scones, and assorted desserts.

As you can see, Morning Lavender is a delightful dining and shopping experience. So for anyone looking for a unique Spring afternoon out and about, head on over to Morning Lavender. Nothing but good times and tasty teas await!
