Thanksgiving Treats: Best bakeries near Costa Mesa

November 15th, 2018

Thanksgiving is upon us! That means spending time with family, turkey’s, and tons of sweet treats. Particularly pies and pastries. For anyone at Baker Block who is not the best baker, fear not. We have an entire blog post dedicated to the best Thanksgiving bakeries in town for you to bring to your holiday feasts.

Blackmarket Bakery

First up is a bakery just around the corner at The CAMP. Simple ingredients and a sense of humor is the perfect way to describe Blackmarket Bakery. Some of their staple pastries include their Lemon-Blueberry Croissant, their Flourless Walnut Mudslide Cookie, as well as their Black Widow Tart. In regards to their holiday menu, they are baking up some amazing treats. At the moment they are serving up both Thanksgiving and Christmas pastries. That includes their tart collections like their mini tart collection, their 8” Tarts, and Holly’s Apple Pie. Each of the collections can serve up to eight people and include all the essential holiday flavors as well as their iconic Black Widow Chocolate Tart.

If you are not into the bittersweet treats, try out their Gift Cookie “Pie” which includes shortbread pumpkin pie wedges. If you decide to take advantage of their seasonal baked goods, do know that the deadline for Thanksgiving is Friday, November 16th.

SusieCakes

Up next on our list is Susie Cakes on 3321 Hyland Avenue Ste J. If you are looking to provide some more unconventional Thanksgiving treats then this is the spot for you. Take for instance their lemon bars or Susie’s nutty peanut butter sandwich cookie. However, they have some of the most delicious chocolate chip cookies, which you can never go wrong with. As far at their seasonal cakes are concerned, their Cranberry Orange Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Crumble Pie, Pecan Pie, and Pumpkin Cheesecake are all available to order now.

Dough & Arrow

Last up is Dough & Arrow around the corner on 3033 Bristol Street Ste Q. For those of you who wish to bring cookies to the table, then you must go to Dough & Arrow. Their sea salt chocolate chip cookies are undeniable and they also have their Smookie, which includes Hershey chocolate, Nutella, graham crackers, topped with melted marshmallow.

Per usual, you have all you need while living in Costa Mesa. That includes bakeries. All you have to do now is choose which bakery you want. Good luck!
